Here’s what we’ll do together:

The Sustainability Project Manager (Environmental) will be responsible for managing the operational environmental sustainability initiatives and ensuring compliance with membership requirements from industry bodies such as Cascale, ZDHC and Fashion Charter.This role involves coordinating efforts to minimize the environmental impact of the company’s operations, enhancing sustainable practices across the supply chain, and maintaining adherence to relevant environmental standards.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to advance sustainability initiatives and ensure effective progress.

The Sustainability Project Manager (Environment) will report to Head of Sustainability and work at our HQ in Amsterdam.

Your tasks & responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategies to reduce the environmental impact of the company’s operations, focusing on energy use, water consumption, waste management, biodiversity, and carbon footprint reduction.
• Stay updated on the latest developments in environmental sustainability, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. Monitor and report on key environmental performance indicators (KPIs) and progress towards sustainability goals.
• Develop scalable environmental improvement projects for the supply chain, managing their implementation and stakeholder engagement.
• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of ZDHC (Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals), Fashion Charter, and Cascale standards and programs across the supply chain.
• Manage compliance with membership requirements, overseeing implementation and devising strategies to improve status.
• Coordinate internal teams to ensure alignment with various standards and integrate sustainable practices into daily operations.
• Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement in environmental performance.
• Develop and deliver training programs to promote environmental awareness and sustainable practices among employees and suppliers.
• Engage with external stakeholders, including industry groups, NGOs, and regulatory bodies, to foster collaboration and stay informed on emerging trends and regulations.
