Sustainability Consultant

We are seeking a strategic, experienced, and innovative Sustainability Consultant to lead and enhance DGB Group’s sustainability initiatives while serving as a trusted advisor to our clients. Passionate about nature restoration and sustainability, you will play a pivotal role in shaping actionable strategies and solutions that align with DGB’s mission, while guiding clients on their journey toward achieving environmental and regulatory goals.

As a Sustainability Consultant, you will act as both a thought leader and a hands-on expert, conducting carbon footprint analyses (Scope 1, 2, and 3), evaluating compliance frameworks like CSRD and BCorp certification, and providing clients with tailored sustainability plans. You will also contribute to internal initiatives and external partnerships, ensuring that all projects align with current industry trends, sustainability standards, and DGB’s values.

This role emphasizes client-focused consultancy, enabling clients to navigate complex sustainability challenges, develop impactful strategies, and implement measurable solutions to meet their goals

What You’ll Do:

1. Carbon Footprint Analysis
   • Conduct comprehensive carbon footprint assessments, including Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions, for both DGB and our clients.
   • Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on the analyses to reduce emissions and improve sustainability performance.
2. Sustainability Strategy Development
   • Design and implement tailored sustainability strategies that align with DGB’s vision and each client’s specific objectives.
   • Translate high-level goals into actionable plans that create measurable environmental impact and drive business value.
3. Client Collaboration & Consulting
   • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, helping them create and implement sustainability roadmaps.
   • Provide expertise in navigating regulatory requirements and achieving compliance with standards such as CSRD and BCorp certification.
   • Host workshops, training sessions, and consultations to educate clients on best practices and new opportunities in sustainability.
4. Compliance and Certification
   • Evaluate and enhance sustainability frameworks for DGB and clients to ensure compliance with evolving standards and certifications.
   • Offer guidance on achieving and maintaining key certifications, such as BCorp.
5. Internal Collaboration & Leadership
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability practices across all business units.
   • Act as a thought leader, sharing knowledge and fostering a culture of sustainability within the organization.
6. Reporting & Communication
   • Develop compelling sustainability reports for clients, stakeholders, and internal use.
   • Ensure clear, concise documentation of all projects and deliverables.
   • Represent DGB in public presentations, conferences, and client meetings to showcase expertise and enhance reputation.
