Specialist ESG
Maternity cover (feb – aug 2025)

You will be joining Renewi in the most exciting, but also the most challenging period: witnessing the end of financial year, during which we prepare our annual accounts, as well as participating in the first reporting cycle for our company to implement the European Sustainability Reporting Standards.
This is why we are expecting a self-organizing, well-rounded sustainability professional, able to “plug-and-play” into existing data structure and help deliver the right outputs, with the right insights, on time.
This role reports to the Group Sustainability Reporting Manager and frequently liaises with Group Strategy (Head of Sustainability) and divisional Sustainability Leaders.

Your duties and responsibilities:

  • Support the preparation of the non-financial section of the Annual Report (due out in May 2025), including data consolidation at Group level, and collaboration with the key redaction team as well as external consultants.
  • Alignment with Finance regarding the calibration of existing KPIs to the ESRS format – may include data management, template development, process improvements, quality and accuracy improvements etc.
  • Monitor Sustainability KPIs and targets as outlined in the Group Sustainability Strategy, support the continued publication of other internal and external communication, such as quarterly KPIs, and external ESG disclosures.
  • Collect, consolidate, control, and validate ESG data, metrics, KPIs, and risk indicators.
  • Perform the calculation of GHG Scope 3 footprint according to the existing methodology.
  • Manage sustainability reporting systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness of documentation during external assurance processes, facilitate the auditing process between the data owners and auditors.
  • Continue the work on ensuring that all relevant policies, procedures and guidance are developed fully and implemented at all sites.
