Your role.
As Social Sustainability Manager, you possess a deep understanding of Social Sustainability topics with a focus on Living Wage and will be responsible for leading high-quality advisory services to our clients, leveraging the knowledge and tools built in IDH Foundation. You will engage with stakeholders across different industries, providing strategic guidance, managing projects, and developing innovative solutions that help organisations meet their sustainability goals.
You are entrepreneurial in spirit and looking to grow as a key member of IDH Solutions’ working with senior experts to design new value propositions across IDH’s impact themes.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Engagement and Communication:
- Act as a trusted advisor on sustainability topics, particularly in Living Wage, Labour Rights, and Sustainable Procurement.
- Engage with clients, senior executives, and stakeholders to understand the challenges and opportunities in human rights in their value chain, especially in living wage and help navigate their living wage journey
- Provide strategic recommendations helping clients embed sustainability into their business models.
- Offer technical guidance on sustainability frameworks, industry standards, and responsible sourcing practices.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring continued engagement and long-term impact.
- Translate complex sustainability topics into practical and actionable insights for companies.
- Lead consultative discussions, workshops, and training sessions to build awareness and inspire action.
Project and Proposition Development:
- Leverage insights from client and partner conversations to take a lead role in IDH Solutions’ Living Wage proposition development team.
Develop new value propositions for IDH Solutions, based on the work done in impact themes of IDH especially in Better Jobs,
Operational Management:
- Collaborate with the management team to support development of strategic direction of the organization’s initiatives
- Lead in the proposal and contract development process, identifying effort estimations and potential risk factors in work execution and intellectual property. Oversee the execution of projects, ensuring they adhere to planned timelines and objectives, delivering quality while looking for ways to optimise the processes and procedures
Technical Knowledge:
Keep up to date with regulatory changes, industry standards, and best practices in sustainability.
Develop guidelines, reports, and case studies to enhance industry knowledge-sharing.
Capture key learnings and continuously evaluate and improve future projects and increase impact.
