About the position

Join our Global Sustainability & ESG Team as a Product Impact Manager, focusing on driving a key initiative at Flora Food Group on product and value chain carbon and environmental foot-printing. The role will support the continued development and automation of product environmental data analysis and reporting, which is used to support our decarbonisation efforts and commitment to transparency for our stakeholders. In this role, you will help to manage data quality and process optimisation, with the aim of enhancing data reliability and collection for product impact data.

You will report to the Head of Climate & Nature and work closely with stakeholders across the business, playing a vital role in supporting teams in R&D, Procurement, Sales, Marketing & Reporting. This is a great opportunity for an individual great at problem-solving and able to switch between detailed analysis and driving bigger picture objectives.

Role Purpose

In this role, you will be responsible for the environmental data of our products (data process and systems). You will own, develop, and implement the technology required for Flora Food Group to publish environmental data and ensure compliance with regulation and global standards regarding product environmental labelling and comparative claims. You will directly enable the Flora Food Group commitment to inform stakeholders about the environmental benefits of our products via lifecycle assessments (LCAs); educating consumers about the climate impact of their purchases via our product labelling programme, supporting marketing in ‘better than’ campaigns, and informing suppliers retail and professional services) about the climate impact of the products they provide to their customers (i.e. their Scope 3 emissions). You will be the go-to person for environmental claims.

Key Responsibilities

  • Environmental Data Management: Oversee data process and systems for product environmental data, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Lifecycle Assessments (LCA): Manage internal governance on LCAs, support growth and uptake in different markets, and improve product carbon labelling and impact data analysis.
  • Technology Solutions: Implement and maintain platforms for hosting and sharing climate data.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to all regulations and standards for climate and environmental claims.
  • Stakeholder Support: Assist Marketing, R&D, Legal, and Sales teams in using LCA information and collaborate with scientific partners on LCA tool updates.
  • Supplier Engagement: Work with the Responsible Sourcing Manager to enhance data collection for decarbonisation and support carbon labelling goals.
  • Futureproofing: Identify opportunities to support growth and best practices for global environmental labelling and reporting.
