We’re looking for someone who is structured, excels in stakeholder management, and brings a creative, strategic mindset to the table.
In this internship, you’ll actively contribute to our key sustainability projects, including the exciting preparations for our Festival at S.E.A., a series of events in 2025 where we add sustainability-driven value to projects, vessels, and existing events. You’ll also be involved in our journey towards COP30 in Belém, Brazil, helping to drive meaningful change on a global stage. So be part of a team that’s shaping the future of sustainability!
YOUR WORKPLACE

As part of the Corporate Affairs department, we drive change across the four pillars; the energy transition, accelerating climate actions, Empowering Nature and Communities, and Achieving Net-zero emissions.
YOUR IMPACT
- Supporting content and structure for Festival at S.E.A. (Our Sustainability events at Van Oord) ensuring that each event aligns with our objectives as a Sustainability Program
- Building a comprehensive strategy for Van Oord’s involvement in COP30; this involves researching themes, prepare briefings and identifying key opportunities for Van Oord to showcase our work and effort on sustainability;
- Engaging with key internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and commitment to sustainability initiatives;
- Interacting with external stakeholders to foster collaboration and enhance our sustainability efforts;
- Planning and preparing presentations and roadmaps to communicate our sustainability vision effectively.
