Internship – Sustainability (Biodiversity)

The internship

The HEINEKEN Global Sustainability team is seeking a highly motivated and thoughtful individual that can support the development of HEINEKEN’s global biodiversity agenda. This internship offers a unique opportunity to learn first-hand how companies embed sustainability – and specifically biodiversity – into their corporate decision-making.

As a sustainability intern, you will primarily support the Global Biodiversity Manager, by:

• Conducting research assignments on nature and biodiversity, including peer analyses and deep dives into geographies of interest.
• Assisting in designing a framework for HEINEKEN to address biodiversity-sensitive locations.
• Creating materials to help raise awareness and educate HEINEKEN colleagues about biodiversity.
• Contributing to biodiversity-relevant projects such as the Science-Based Targets Network and the Taskforce for Nature-Related Financial Disclosures.

There will also be ample opportunity to provide ad hoc support for other members of the Global Sustainability Team based on your personal interests.

The Global Sustainability Team is responsible for the strategic delivery of HEINEKEN’s environmental sustainability goals, including net zero, circularity, healthy watersheds & nature, and ultimately having a positive impact on biodiversity.

Our team is part of the Global Corporate Affairs department based in Amsterdam. As a member of this team, you will learn about various aspects of Corporate Affairs, including Public Affairs and Communications.
