Head of Corporate Sustainability(EN)

As Head of Corporate Sustainability you will be leading Van Lanschot Kempen’s corporate sustainability efforts and will play a pivotal role in driving internal and external stakeholder engagement and management on sustainability, representing Van Lanschot Kempen externally as well. Corporate Sustainability is part of the Strategy, Sustainability & Corporate Development team (SS&CD) within the CEO domain. Reporting to the Managing Director of SS&CD, you will be responsible for managing the Corporate Sustainability team (two FTE), as well as orchestrating the sustainability community within Van Lanschot Kempen.

That is what you will use your talents for as Head of Corporate Sustainability at Van Lanschot Kempen:

• Preparing Van Lanschot Kempen’s overall sustainability ambition and developing the sustainability roadmap to get there. Driving the execution of the roadmap on own operations together with the business and staff departments (e.g. HR and Facility Management) and more broadly monitoring the execution of the roadmap on a quarterly basis.
• Ensuring embedding of the sustainability ambition and strategy in the Van Lanschot Kempen strategy together with the client groups and enabling functions, including advising on embedding the sustainability ambition in the strategic plans and M&A agenda of the client groups.
• Driving internal and external (non-client) stakeholder engagement related to sustainability. Internally, working closely together with (i) the Sustainable and Impact Investing (S&II) team to align corporate sustainability efforts with sustainable investing strategies; (ii) the management teams of the client groups; and (iii) key support functions such as HR, FRC, Investor Relations and Corporate Communication. Externally, representing Van Lanschot Kempen on sustainability matters, participating in industry events, conferences, and initiatives.
• Organising groupwide sustainability education to ensure all employees are informed and engaged with the company’s sustainability goals and practices.
• Owning Van Lanschot Kempen’s corporate sustainability policies and standards and providing the sustainability input in corporate reporting (e.g. annual report, sustainability supplement) and for sustainability benchmarks and ratings.
• Staying abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in sustainability, providing insights and recommendations to drive continuous improvement.
