Role Description

This is a part-time on-site role for an ESG Compliance Officer at Arasco Food B.V. in Haarlem. The person applying can expect three to four days in the office. The ESG Compliance Officer will be responsible for ensuring environmental, social, and governance compliance within the organization and its business partners abroad. In particular, the role focuses on upcoming regulation released by the European Union such as the European Union Deforestation-free products Regulation (EUDR) and the current Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct compliance assessments, developing and implementing compliance policies (mainly focused on CSRD and EUDR).
• Communicate compliance requirements to stakeholders and bi-weekly inform C-level on progress.
• Become familiar with in-house software solutions (i.e. ERP system to track deals).
• Deploy the SaaS for data collection, processing and reporting previously purchased by Arasco Food.
• Stay updated on ESG trends, regulations, and best practices to provide Arasco with cutting-edge advice.
• Collaborate with the team (logistics, finance and accounting department as well as traders).
