Are you passionate about sustainability, data and eager to drive real change within a leading global financial institution? At ING, we are seeking a Customer Journey Expert (CJE) to facilitate the integration of our Sustainability Strategy within Business Lending for SMEs, MidCorps, and Private Banking clients. The focus is on ESG data and all related processes: from data collection to storage and distribution to all relevant stakeholders including good governance.
In this role, you’ll make a direct impact by translating our sustainability goals into actionable processes, collaborating across internal departments (Group Sustainability, Sales, Finance & Risk) and external partners to realize our vision.
Based in Amsterdam, you’ll report to the Product Area Lead ESG and Credit Decisioning and work within a squad of six experts focusing on the ESG data topic. Our team is dedicated to embedding Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) data into Business Lending, enabling the creation of sustainable products aligned with ING’s net-zero strategy.
Key Responsibilities
As a Customer Journey Expert, you will:
- Develop and implement processes for ESG data collection, ensuring scalability and continuity in this critical area.
- Lead the design and delivery of new systems for storing ESG data, collaborating with various stakeholders to define and prioritize requirements.
- Lead data analysts and IT engineers, and work closely with other CJEs to ensure seamless data collection and integration.
- Act as a central point of contact between Sales, the Sustainability Centre of Expertise, Business Banking, and internal stakeholders like Credit Risk, Finance, Compliance, and IT.
- Continuously engage with both internal and external stakeholders to refine our sustainability processes and offerings.
- Contribute to the strategic product management roadmap, driving innovation in the emerging field of ESG.
