Country Circular Lead

At Decathlon we are seeking for a Country Circular Lead who will help our circular team in creating the best exclusive circular offer to satisfy every sports user, contribute to change the way people consume sport, and guarantee a sustainable and profitable business!

Your job

In the Netherlands we are in business to ‘move people through the wonders of sports’ and with a sustainable mindset. To reduce overconsumption and overproduction we want to offer our customers new kinds of circular sports solutions and more specifically to give them an alternative for owning a product. Your role will contribute to this purpose by developing new and optimizing exciting business models related to repair, buy-back, 2nd hand, rental and subscription models.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for Sustainability and is experienced in tranforming sustainable business ideas into profitable business ideas which contribute to decreasing our CO2 emissions

Responsibilities

• Co-building and deploying the circular project in The Netherlands
• Managing and inspiring a team of 6fte
• Research and identify new business opportunities – including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services concerning Rent, Subscription, Swap, Share sport products
• Manage the People, Planet and Profit results of your project, with the goal to sustainably make the pleasure and benefits of sport accessible to the many;
• Understand local circular markets size and dynamics, consumer habits, analyze circularity competitive players, in order to build the circular commercial policy
• Scout potential partnerships and / or investments in circularity technology startups
• Together with your ecosystem, define an ambitious, unique and desirable 5-year vision of our challenge.
• Forecast the countries circular trajectory based on United strategies, and ensure that these objectives are communicated to the United circular leaders and country leaders.
• Handling performance alerts by implementing appropriate action plans
• Making decisions based on the data. Manage it on a daily basis to ensure a great performance. (working with the United digital team)
