SAM, the investment boutique focused exclusively on sustainability investing, and Dow Jones Indexes, a leading global index provider, today announced the creation of the Dow Jones SustainabilityWorld Enlarged Index (DJSI World Enlarged). The new index will be launched on November 30, 2010, and is designed to accommodate increasing investor demand for a broader sustainability benchmark. As such, the DJSIWorld Enlarged tracks the performance of the most sustainable 20% of companies out of the largest 2,500 companies in the Dow Jones Global Total Stock Market Index.

Royal DSM N.V., the global Life Sciences and Materials Sciences company headquartered in the Netherlands, has continued its number one position in the chemical industry sector in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index*. This was announced today in a press statement issued by SAM* and Dow Jones Indexes. After the initial publication of the 2010 sustainability scores in September 2010, SAM identified an issue in the software used to evaluate the results of the Corporate Sustainability Assessments and announced a reassessment of the 2010 scores.
