This process will be the most significant and in-depth process since the Guidelines were launched in 2002, and is based on stakeholder information gathered during the structured Feedback Process (SFP). An overarching goal is to build the Guidelines into a reporting standard for launch in 2006. This ambitious target is necessary to stay relevant to reporters and to the readers of reports, and to ensure that sustainability reporting keeps pace with the growing and changing issues associated with sustainable development.
As reporting and its place within the sustainability context continues to grow and evolve, your input to take the Guidelines to the next level of use-ability is key to taking this growth in a positive direction – don’t miss the chance to be involved in this exciting programme! GRI is counting on its multi-stakeholder process to once again provide the intelligence and consensus that has contributed to its past successes, and which will remain integral to its continuing effectiveness in the future.
