The DJSI World index features some 10% of the top performing corporations for sustainability among a total of 2,500 in 22 countries worldwide.
The two indexes DJSI World and DJSI STOXX select the leading corporations in this field following an analysis by the ^Sustainable Asset Management Indexes GmbH (SAM) group of Switzerland.

Our acknowledged leadership position encourages us to continue down this path,” said Air France-KLM CEO Pierre-Henri Gourgeon.
“We are proud to have been chosen as the “Sector Leader” for the fifth year in a row. It constitutes full-blown recognition of the day-to-day efforts of our Group’s people and encourages us to persevere,” said Peter Hartman, President and CEO of KLM.
AIR FRANCE KLM is also ranked in the extra-financial ratings Aspi Eurozone, Ethibel sustainability Index (ESI) Excellence Global, and FTSE4Good indexes. For the past three years, the Group has also been the only airline in the “Global 100” list, comprising the world’s top 100 enterprises most committed to corporate social and environmental responsibility.
As such, Air France-KLM is determined to play its allotted role in combating climate change.
The Group supports the integration of international air transport, at the December
2009 United Nations Conference in Copenhagen, in an industry-specific agreement that is effective, pragmatic and fair.
In July 2009, Air France-KLM was the first airline to receive Airline Business’s Airline Strategy Award in the new “Environment” category.
