The high level ‘International Nonwovens Symposium’, will be held from 30 – 31st May 2007 at the Hilton Berlin and is expected to attract leading international executives from the world of nonwovens.
Presentations include ‘Green airlaid composites from renewables, recycled and 100% synthetics-myth and reality,’ from James Hanson of Marketing Technology Service, USA, who will speak about processing issues for recycled materials.
Stefan Sulzmaier from Kelheim Fibres, Germany will talk about how viscose fibres are helping to address sustainability, biodegradability and product safety in nonwovens, while Elfriede Hell from Starlinger & Co., Austria, will give a talk on ‘Sustainability for profit: nonwoven production waste as secondary resource’, which focuses on recycled polypropylene and polyester nonwovens.
Luuk van der Molen from Colbond will present a paper on the Development of primary carpet backing with 100% post-consumer recycled PET, including the effect of blending post consumer recycled polyester (PET) with virgin PET.
