As the ESG Manager, you will play a key role in developing, implementing, and managing our company’s ESG strategy. You will be responsible for ensuring that our business operations align with the highest standards of environmental sustainability, social responsibility, and governance practices. The primary focus for this role will be on developing and maintaining strong governance practices to support continued alignment and compliance with key regulatory and customer demands related to ESG.

- We are moving from our current HQ Arnhem office (next to train station Arnhem Centraal) to a new office in central Utrecht in the summer of 2025.

Core Responsibilities
Your core responsibilities will include overseeing the governance and compliance reporting in relation to key ESG requirements in the region this will include but not limited to:
- Implementation and roll out of ESG related policies, working closely with our EMEA and global compliance team.
- Development of governance tracking system to proactively monitor alignment and compliance with key ESG related legislation in the region.
- The development of strategies to align and comply with identified European legislation, such as EU Deforestation Regulation, EU Carbon Board Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) and various regional plastic regulations.
- Supporting the Global ESG team by with key reporting and disclosure requirements related to ESG – Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD)and Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD)
- Internal ESG reviews and alignment of key policies and responding to governance related queries from customers and external parties.
General Responsibilities
As a member of the ESG team you will provide support in the following area. Workload could shift between these areas depending upon the demands being placed on the business and your interest areas.
- ESG Strategy Development:
- Support in the development and implementation of a comprehensive ESG strategy for EMEA aligned with the company’s values, goals, and industry practices.
- Environmental Stewardship:
- Supporting environmental initiatives, identifying opportunities for resource efficiency, waste reduction, and carbon footprint reduction.
- Social Responsibility:
- Working closely with our supplier and supply chain team to monitor and report on social impact metrics, ensuring alignment with company values and industry standards.
- Support engagement with key partners regarding our charitable giving initiatives
- Governance Oversight:
- Maintain strong governance frameworks, including ethical business practices, risk management, and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to ESG-related reporting requirements including CSRD.
- Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, customers, employees, and communities, to communicate ESG initiatives and gather feedback.
- Prepare and publish regular ESG reports for internal and external stakeholders.
