As the (Senior) Legal Counsel – ESG Specialist, you will contribute to the company’s ESG strategy, you will provide legal advice on a wide range of issues relating to ESG, and you will drive implementation of the relevant laws and regulations in cooperation with several departments within DLL (such as sustainability, risk, compliance and finance).

Day to day:
- Analyze existing and future ESG rules and regulations, case law, soft law standards, commitments, supervisory guidance and industry best practices.
- Monitor ESG developments and trends.
- Advise on how ESG rules and regulations affect DLL’s business globally in terms of strategy, risks, obligations and opportunities.
- Work closely with colleagues from commercial domains and non-commercial domains such as finance, sustainability, compliance and risk.
- Maintain a strong working relationship with ESG experts within Rabobank to ensure an aligned and consistent approach, share best practices, and leverage on existing knowledge.
- Provide practical advice on DLL’s legal risks arising from (trends in) climate litigation.
- Share knowledge and facilitate trainings on legal ESG matters to various stakeholders in the company.
