he Sustainability Coordinator performs a wide variety of tasks and initiatives revolving around TomTom’s ESG program. This role supports and contributes to TomTom meeting its regulatory requirements, adhering to industry standards, and communicating its sustainability performance to stakeholders. The role is hands-on, collecting and managing all data points to support the sustainability reporting process, while supporting the delivery of projects and initiatives for commercial lease agreements, construction projects and LEED/BREEAM certifications for TomTom globally. This position is ideally for a Facilities professional awaiting a next career step and requires a flexible, pro-active problem-solver with a detail- and customer service-oriented personality.
What you’ll do
- Manage the data collection and management, set up processes to streamline the collection of data and improve data quality provisions.
- Working together with our Facilities colleagues, manage and oversee consumption for TomTom buildings including, electricity, gas, water, and waste
- Working together with our Facilities colleagues, identify concrete sustainability improvement levers for our buildings including areas such as energy efficiency, waste reduction and improved recycling practices
- Communicate and coordinate implementation of sustainability measures in close collaboration with local Facilities teams.
- Work with both suppliers and landlords of our leased spaces to own the utility data collection for TomTom’s carbon footprint and steer respective reduction measures
- Support TomTom’s transition to renewable electricity by engaging with energy suppliers and landlords to switch to renewable power contracts
- Working together with our Real Estate colleagues, define, implement and maintain processes, procedures and workflows to improve sustainability terms and conditions in our lease agreements globally, (“green lease”)
- Working together with our Interior Design and Projects colleagues, identify opportunities to steer and implement diverse and inclusive office layouts which promote the well-being of all TomTom colleagues
- Working together with Interior Design and Projects and Facilities colleagues support LEED, BREEAM and WELL initiatives and certifications
- Serve as a resource for the Real Estate, Projects and Facilities teams and champion sustainability values across the department
